About

Established initially in December 1988 by Jim Sweeney based in Killorglin, Co.Kerry, Sweeney Builders are a family based general building contractor carrying out residential, commercial and industrial projects mainly in the Kerry area. The company is operated by Jim and his son Jim Jnr who personally supervise every project undertaken. With over 50 years of industry experience, clients can be assured of the proper allocation of resources and a build that’s overseen and completed to the very highest of professional standards.
We pride ourselves on our high standard of workmanship and do our up-most to perfect our core philosophy on attention to detail which stems from Jim being a 2nd generation Carpenter since 1980 and Jim Jnr a 3rd generation carpenter since 2002.

Apprentice Carpenters

Apprentice Carpenters required for Kerry based medium sized Building contractor. The applicant will be mature, positive, pleasant, and energetic. The applicant must be willing to learn all aspects of the trade, and other aspects related in construction. A full drivers license and own transport is essential. The ideal candidate will have a B or higher in pass/D or higher honours maths, preferably with previous experience in the construction sector. The applicant must undertake Solas based apprenticeship.
